Where Did an Accident Happen?

The fall is beginning to arrive in Wisconsin. With the fall comes cooler temperatures and rain. These weather conditions can create hazardous conditions for drivers on the roadways. When there is precipitation on the roadways drivers need to take extra precautions to ensure that they are practicing safe driving and to reduce their risk of being involved in an accident. Recently, a tragic accident occurred in Washington County in which speed and weather conditions are believed to have played a role.

The accident occurred on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 around 10:00 pm and involved two vehicles. The accident occurred in the Town of West Bend, which is located in Washington County. Law enforcement officials responded to the scene of the accident after receiving a call from one of the vehicles involved in the accident. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident. Law enforcement officials believe that one of the vehicles, which was headed southbound, traveled over the center lane and struck a vehicle that was traveling northbound head-on. Law enforcement officials believe that the vehicle driving southbound lost control in a curve in the road.  Tragically, the driver of the southbound vehicle passed away as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the northbound vehicle was also transported to the hospital for treatment for minor injuries sustained in the crash. Law enforcement believe that speed as well as weather conditions may have played a role in the accident.
