The summer weather is in full swing in Wisconsin. During the warmer weather, motorcycles are a more common sight on Wisconsin roadways. Motorcycles are intended to be an enjoyable method of transportation. Unfortunately, motorcycles offer less protection than motor vehicles if the motorcycle is involved in an accident. When an accident involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle occurs, the motorcyclist almost always gets the worse of it. Recently, a tragic accident involving a motorcycle happened in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The accident happened on Saturday, August 16, 2020 around 2:20 pm. The accident occurred near 35th Street and Wright Street. Law enforcement officials state that a car that was performing a u-turn collided with a motorcycle. Officials believe that the motorcyclist was operating at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision. The force of the accident caused the motorcyclist to sustain serious injuries, including head injuries. Tragically, the driver of the motorcycle passed away at the scene of the accident due to the injuries sustained. The driver of the vehicle sustained non-fatal injuries. Law enforcement officials are investigating whether the driver of the vehicle was under the influence when the accident occurred.
