The accident happened on Saturday, August 16, 2020 around 2:20 pm. The accident occurred near 35th Street and Wright Street. Law enforcement officials state that a car that was performing a u-turn collided with a motorcycle. Officials believe that the motorcyclist was operating at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision. The force of the accident caused the motorcyclist to sustain serious injuries, including head injuries. Tragically, the driver of the motorcycle passed away at the scene of the accident due to the injuries sustained. The driver of the vehicle sustained non-fatal injuries. Law enforcement officials are investigating whether the driver of the vehicle was under the influence when the accident occurred.
