On Thursday, July 3rd, an accident occurred at the intersection of Granville and Washington Avenue in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. The accident occurred around 5:30 pm after a driver failed to stop at a stop sign. Because of the driver’s failure to stop, the driver collided with another vehicle that was traveling on the roadway. The force of this collision caused the second vehicle to strike a nearby business.

Law enforcement officials and Flight for Life were called to the scene of the accident. Tragically, the injuries the occupant of the second vehicle sustained in the accident resulted in his death. The driver of the vehicle that failed to stop at the stop and his passenger were also transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle has since been cited for failing to stop at a stop sign resulting in great bodily harm. The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the tragic accident.
