Eating While Driving

July 12 , 2016 | Car Accidents

When people think of dangerous activities to do while driving, the one that most likely pops into their head first is texting and driving. While texting and driving is dangerous and should be avoided, eating while driving is also a dangerous activity that many people participate in.

Here is a list of the top 10 worst foods to eat while driving according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration:

  1. Coffee
  2. Hot Soup
  3. Tacos
  4. Chili
  5. Hamburgers
  6. BBQ Foods
  7. Fried Chicken
  8. Filled Doughnuts
  9. Carbonated Beverages
  10. Chocolate

By avoiding eating these foods and other foods while driving, you can reduce the chances of being in a car accident. If you must eat immediately even though you are operating a motor vehicle, pull over over to eat your food and return to the roadway once your meal is finished. Having a snack while driving is not worth the risk of getting into an automobile accident and injuring yourself or others.
